The PP Diaries: But wait, there's more!

Dear PP Diary,

I neglected to mention a couple of things in my last entry. Like, waking up every night drenched in sweat. Crying about every little thing. (Oh, I did kind of mention that...Yeah, I'm gonna add it again. 'Cause I'm probably crying about something else this time!) Dying to get out of the house, but knowing it's not a good idea quite yet.

And that SPD does -not- go away right after the birth. Rolling over in bed is still horrible. My hips still feel like they are splitting in two. All my joints are apparently still blissed out in relaxin....which apparently has a half life of one million years....or something like that.

The swelling doesn't go away immediately either. Uhm...I would like to wear my wedding ring again someday. Today, preferably.

Is there anything else I should mention? (So I can try to keep all the depressing stuff somewhat together?)

Love, Mallory

Don't forget none of your clothes fit you, the maternity are too big (atleast after a few weeks) and then the regular clothes are too small. Oh, and since I am nursing, my boobs are WAY bigger than they normally were before and during my pregnancy, so none of my shirts fit!

It's been 2 1/2 months and I am still in limbo... and it's frustrating...so it's at the top of my PP complaints : )

but I still love my baby! : )

Have you had a bowel movement yet - that's pretty tough on a new Mom. And since Hubby has been by your side the whole time - it will be tough when he's gone for 8-9 hours of the day and everything to be done for the kiddos is up to you. Oh, and what about those after-birth pains. Did you mention those?
The bright side is - you have a beautiful newborn son, and a wonderful 2-yr-old 'helper' to bring you smiles in between the tears. What's that saying: It may not be easy, but it's worth it! Come to Gma's anytime. I'll make cookies! :)

PPD sucks. My heart is with you. Can I mail you a letter or some chocolates? (I'm serious, you know...)

PS: My latest motto is, if you love her, say it with a vasectomy. But don't quote me, I'll deny it. :)
